About Timik

Timik have been established since 1976 supplying Ford New Holland Engines for the agricultural industry, over time we have expanded to include Ford Industrial and various Perkins spec engines.
We are now happy to offer this service to the Marine Industry for commercial and leisure applications.

The Base Engine Remanufacturing Process

All our engines are stripped and inspected, the fuel injection equipment is remanufactured, a remanufactured turbocharger is fitted (if applicable), the engine block is bored, liners fitted and bored back to standard, Main bearing housing line honed, connecting rods honed and new bushes fitted, new pistons and rings fitted, crankshaft ground new bearings fitted, cylinder head is remanufactured having valve seats re cut and new valves fitted if necessary, a new oil pump and water pump fitted and all new gaskets fitted. The engines are re assembled in our clean workshop using the correct procedures and tolerances.

The engine is then dynamometer tested for 4 hours and painted, ready for delivery.

We are a member of the federation of engine manufacturers, therefore our remanufactured engines are required to meet a certain standard under BSI AU 257:2002, set by British Standard Automobile Series code of practice.

About the Federation of Engine Remanufacturers

See FER’s aims and member benefits direct from their website https://fer.co.uk/

The Federation sets, as its minimum standard, the British Standard BS AU 257: 2002. Every member must work to this standard and there are checks to ensure they comply.

All members are professionals with an enormous amount of skill and expertise in their field. They are also extremely enthusiastic about their work and engines in particular. Customers can go to a member and discuss their requirements knowing they will get a straight answer to their query. Although the answer may not in every case be what they want to hear since some engine are simply beyond repair, it will nonetheless be a truthful opinion based on years of experience in this field.

The service of an FER member does not stop at just rebuilding an engine or machining a head. All members have an extensive knowledge of automotive parts and components, and their quality. They will be willing to discuss your requirements with you, and offer help and assistance about which may be the best product to use. They can also supply components from a range of quality suppliers.
